Celebrities + Writing

Celebrities who write? Yes, we're interested! So naturally we attended the Brooklyn Book Festival to see which celebrities were promoting books. First, we went to a talk with Paul Krugman, a New York Times columnist, who spoke on the economy.

Even though it was raining and the main stage was outdoors, we were able to see Sarah Silverman while she talked about her new book. We don't know who the two other guys are, but they must think she's funny too.

Apparently Venus Williams wrote book. And she talked about it. We got a picture.

Unfortunately we weren't able to see John Hodgman, a regular correspondent on The Daily Show, speak about his book, but we did get this photo as he was walking out of the event.

Speaking of The Daily Show, we also recently saw Jon Stewart at a book reading and signing of his new book! The event took place at the Union Square Barnes and Noble.

As with every free event in NYC, there were many, many people there. Alyssa could barely see and I was lucky enough to be able to see over one of the bookshelves in the back. Jon Stewart was joined by his writing staff which includes John Oliver and Wyatt Cenac, also correspondents on The Daily Show.

As some of you know, we were able to meet Jon and talk to him at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. Is it possible he saw his favorite fans in the crowd again, and had flashbacks to that fateful meeting?
