The Intrepid

Points, miles, cash back, merchandise - if I am going to use a credit card, I like to get something in return. Well, Alyssa found a whole new way to get rewards. I had always wanted to see the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum but the cost of admission was prohibitive ($22 per person). But, if you have a certain credit card, you can get in for free on the first weekend of the month! In August we were able to take advantage of this deal and see the museum.

The museum featured several airplanes, including The Concorde. This plane carried about 100 passengers and flew up to 1,350 mph! It made it from London to New York in less than 3 hours.

Another highlight: we got to see Pipefest! We're not sure what Pipefest is except that they attempted to set the World Record for the largest band to ever play on a ship.

Looks large. Give 'em the record just for the outfits.

All in all, a fun day and free!
